How and why coaching works.

In a recent study by 24X7 Learning, it was found that only 12% of those who undergo training believe they apply the skills offered through training to their job, suggesting that many common methods of training are ineffective.

Compared to both traditional attendance-based training courses, online training, mentoring, and job rotation, executive coaching was more likely to result in sustained behaviour change.

Furthermore, changes resulting from coaching are more noticeable in the coachee by their colleagues. In addition to this, the performance of the coachee in relation to managerial tasks was better after coaching than traditional training and coachee behaviours were found to be more in line with the needs of the company. (see Rekalde, 2017)

Virtual coaching is able to be just as effective as face-to-face coaching on CoachPlatform

Despite concerns that coaching over a digital platform may not be as effective as face-to-face training, research has shown that virtual coaching is still able to deliver the same positive results.
